Engage – Challange – Inspire
The AIDS 2006 Global Village is open to both conference delegates and non-delegates
(including community organizations from around the world, local/national groups
and the general public) and enables greater civil society involvement and exchange.
The Global Village covers over 7,000 square metres at the Metro Toronto Convention
Centre and has high visibility as the main entrance into the convention centre.
No registration is required to visit the Global Village.Through interactive and
participatory space, the Global Village programme, organized by the Toronto Local
Host in conjunction with the Community Programme Committee, highlights key HIV-related
issues, concerns and priorities facing various HIV-affected communities. The programme
promotes dialogue, encourages networking, builds solidarity, and promotes inclusion
in the global community.
The Global Village is a community-focused space integrating community, science and
leadership, that reflects the conference’s overall theme, Time to Deliver.
