Student/Post-Doc Registration

To qualify for the student registration fee, students/post-docs must present proof of fulltime enrolment at a recognised university or college at both the time of registration and during the Conference. Students must present their original student ID on-site, in order to receive their conference badge, and keep it available during all times at the Conference. Students under the age of 18 (as of 13 August 2006) must register as Youth.

Youth Registration

The Conference Organisers have extended the student registration fee to all persons under the age of 26 (as of 13 August 2006). To qualify for the youth registration fee, youths must present proof of age by an official, state- or institute-issued document (i.e. passport, birth certificate, vaccine report, national photo ID card, or driver’s license). Youth under the age of 18 must additionally provide the Parent/Guardian Information and Consent Form and, if applicable, the Sponsoring Organisation’s Consent, Release and Waiver Form.

Youth must be at least 16 years old (as of 13 August 2006) to attend the Conference on their own. All youth under the age of 16 (as of 13 August 2006) must be accompanied by an adult (at least 18 years old as of 13 August 2006) to attend the Conference. Organisations that are sponsoring youth under the age of 16 (as of 13 August 2006) to attend the Conference must provide the Conference organisers with a signed Sponsoring Organisation’s Consent, Release and Waiver Form. Sponsoring organisations are organisations that will be supporting youth in any capacity to attend the Conference.

Requirements On-Site at AIDS 2006

18 through 25 years

Indicate age on the registration form.

Must present proof of age by an official, state- or institute-issued document (i.e. passport, birth certificate, vaccine report, national photo ID card, or driver’s license).

16 through 17 years

Indicate age on the registration form.

Mail in signed Parent/Guardian Information and Consent Form

Can attend the conference on their own if registration requirements are met.

Must present proof of age by an official, state- or institute-issued document (i.e. passport, birth certificate, vaccine report, national photo ID card, or driver’s license).

Must present signed Parent/Guardian Information and Consent Form.

15 years and under

If attending as a Conference delegate, sponsored by an organisation:

Indicate age on the registration form.

Mail in signed Parent/Guardian Information and Consent Form for Sponsored Delegates

Organisations accompanying youths must mail in signed Sponsoring Organisation’s Consent, Release and Waiver Form

Must be chaperoned by an adult (at least 18 years old as of 13 August 2006) at all times who is a registered delegate.

Must present proof of age by an official, state- or institute-issued document (i.e. passport, birth certificate, vaccine report, national photo ID card, or driver’s license)

Must present signed Parent/Guardian Information and Consent Form for Sponsored Delegates and Sponsoring Organisation’s Consent, Release and Waiver Form

If attending as a Conference delegate with a parent/guardian:

Indicate age on the registration form.

Mail in signed Parent/Guardian Information and Consent Form

Parent/guardian must be an adult (at least 18 years old as of 13 August 2006) who is a registered delegate who is chaperoning.

Must present proof of age by an official, state- or institute-issued document (i.e. passport, birth certificate, vaccine report, national photo ID card, or driver’s license).

Must present signed Parent/Guardian Information and Consent Form

Important Information for ALL Youth

All forms will be sent electronically upon registration. Please be sure to read the conditions applying for youth registrations carefully and make sure that you have provided the correct forms.

All forms are to be signed in triplicate, one copy is for the parent, one copy is for the youth to be kept at all times during the Conference, one copy is to be mailed to:

A copy of the required forms and proof of age must be provided at the registration counter on-site in order to receive the Conference name badge.

  • Included in the Registration Fee:

    The registration fee for students/youth/post-docs includes entry to all Conference sessions, the exhibition and poster area as well as the opening and closing sessions. It also includes the Conference bag and materials, if the registration form and full payment are received up to and including 15 May 2006. Registration and payment on or after 15 May 2006, including on-site registration, do not guarantee a Conference bag and materials.

    Accompanying Children Registration

    If you are wishing to register a person under the age of 18 as an accompanying child to a fully registered delegate, the Parent/Guardian Information & Consent Form for Accompanying Children is required. For more information on accompanying person please look at the Registration section at www.aids2006.org or contact the Registration Department.

    Included in the Registration Fee:

    Registration for accompanying children includes entry to all Conference sessions, the exhibition and poster area, the opening session as well as the closing session. Accompanying children must be with their parent or guardian at all times while on the Conference site.

    Youth Conference Volunteers

    Youth 16 and 17 years of age are eligible to volunteer for AIDS 2006 and must provide a signed Parent/Guardian Information and Consent Form.
