International Scholarship

The International Scholarship Programme is now closed. Priority will be given to those whose participation will help enhance their work in their own communities, to those who are able to assist in the transfer of skills and knowledge acquired at the Conference, and to those whose abstracts have been selected for the Conference Programme.
Although every attempt will be made to assist as many people as possible to attend, the number of international scholarships that will be allocated is limited. Delegates are therefore strongly encouraged to seek other funding as well.
Full and Partial Scholarships
There are two types of international scholarships: full and partial. Full scholarships include the Conference registration fee, economy-class airfare, shared accommodation in university residences and a daily allowance. Partial scholarships include any combination of the above. Decisions about whether a full or partial scholarship will be awarded will be decided by the Scholarship Working Group (SWG).
Applying for an International Scholarship
Application submissions are now closed.
It is anticipated that the selection of scholarship recipients will be completed in mid-end May 2006. At this time an email will be sent to all applicants, indicating whether they have been awarded a scholarship or not.
Please remember that the number of scholarships is limited and applicants are therefore encouraged to seek other funding as well.
If your International Scholarship application includes a request for the Registration fee to be paid, and your application is unsuccessful, you will still be able to register with the early registration fee. Please wait until the outcome of your scholarship application is known (mid-end May 2006) before registering for the conference.
If your International Scholarship application does not include a request for the Registration fee to be paid, you should register and pay as soon as possible to get the lowest fee possible.

The SWG is an independent group, charged with the mandate of proposing recommendations to the COC (Conference Organising Committee) concerning budget allocations and selection criteria for scholarship recipients.
