Description / Focus:
To present key research findings and outcomes of the activities of the Regional Network on HIV/AIDS, Rural Livelihoods and Food Security (RENEWAL). Presentations will demonstrate the role action research can play in elucidating the interactions between food and nutrition security and HIV and AIDS, and how policy and programming can be modified to deal with these interactions. The satellite provides an opportunity to assess lessons learned in using a networking approach to link locally-prioritized research with capacity strengthening and targeted policy communications in eastern and southern Africa.
