The organizers of the International AIDS Conference are grateful to the conference host broadcaster, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), for its valued support.
CBC undertook the host broadcast function at no cost to the conference. Valued at around US$1 million, the host broadcast service provided broadcast quality audio/video output, which was distributed free of charge to broadcasters attending the conference, and to news channels beyond the conference; and in the conference’s broadcast centre, attending electronic news media were provided with facilities, professional staff and equipment.
